Hello and welcome, to another issue of Hits4Pay Affiliate Update!
As always, thank you for your comments and feedback from the last update.
We have made some changes to our member database that may display a lower ‘count’ on your referrals in your account. Nothing to worry about, “all your referrals” are INTACT.
Let me explain.
I’ll put this in a Q & A format so it is clearly explained.
Question: Why is my number of referrals showing lower than it was before?
We have made some changes to our database to make it more efficient and faster to extract information for our members and advertisers. But, the most significant reason is to protect our servers and IP’S from being blocked by ISP’s.
Here is why…
Since we started, we have accumulated hundreds of thousands of inactive members who join hits4pay but never login or participate in our program.
Many of these members have old outdated email addresses that no longer work. As we send our advertiser’s offers to these invalid emails, they obviously are bounced back to our mail servers. As a result, active and participating members have less of a chance of receiving paid offers. This also affects our advertisers because their offers are going nowhere.
The scariest part is that these outdated email addresses are actively used by ISP’s as ‘SPAM CATCHERS’ — and are often flagged for SPAM.
In order to avoid this mess, we are forced to move all members who have never logged in to their hits4pay account in the past 18 months to a ‘SECONDARY DATABASE’.
This will help us focus our attention on ‘Active Members’ and provide them with more ‘Paid Ads’ to view.
Not to worry. If your referrals are in the secondary database it doesn’t suggest that you lost them, they are simply moved to the secondary database so that your ‘Active Referrals’ can get more ‘Paid Ads’.
At any time in the future, if your ‘Inactive Referrals’ log in to their account and decide to participate, they will INSTANTLY be transferred to your ‘Active Referral’s’ database.
Currently, our programmers are working to give you more stats inside your members area. You’ll be able to see a list of ‘Active Referrals’ and ‘Inactive Referrals’ separately. You will also be given their contact information so that you may have the option to assist them to participate.
If you are currently seeing a lower referral count, then you are viewing the ‘Active Referral’ count. As soon as our programmers finish working on this, you will be able to access the ‘Inactive Referral’ list.
I hope that I have succeeded in explaining the reason, cause, and effect if this change we have made.
While you are at it please login to your account and check if you have any ‘Paid Ads’ waiting to be viewed now!

This is a fantastic thing you are doing here Martha, and you’re not even deleting the inactive referrals just in case they come back… Oh how I wish all paid to sites would follow your lead.

I have not noticed any reductions or for that matter increases to my referrals, but I do check on their activity now and then.
Thank you for keeping us updated with all kinds of information and site changes.
I do have one question though, okay maybe two. Is there any way that we as members can delete any of our deadbeat referrals rather than wait for our administrator to clear them out?
In this way, we do our part by cleaning up our account area, and opening up more space?
Just a thought.

Excellent I really like knowing how many “active” referrals I have. This makes it much easier to keep track of what is working best when marketing.
